This is a 90-minute workshop on how to properly use a foam roller and strap to get the deepest benefits of self-massage. The goal is for you to feel comfortable and confident with using these tools to take care of your own body.
Taught by an expert of the body - Alison Blythe LMT, PCT, RYT200
Workshop will include:
-Explanation of foam roller & benefits of use
-Foam rolling methods explained, demonstrated and then practiced - targeting the buttocks and hamstrings, calves, shins, quads, and thoracic spine.
-Explanation of strap & benefits of assisted stretching
-Strap-assisted methods explained, demonstrated and then practiced - targeting the hip complex, part 1 - hamstring, IT, adductor, and quads.
-Q & A session
Alison is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) with an Associate's Degree of Applied Science - Physical Therapy (AASPT). She specializes in Thai-style bodywork and is also a personal trainer (PCT) with a 200hr yoga certification. She is a teacher and student of the body, specifically the female body and pelvic health. Being a mother of 8 grown children has taught her many lessons about taking care of yourself!
